K.P.'s Awesome Steak and Chicken Marinade

This is my absolute FAVORITE marinade for steaks. It has a sweet and tangy taste. The longer you let the meat marinade, the deeper and better the taste is. It's also great for chicken.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups of pineapple juice
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 cup of dry white wine (I prefer a Pinot Grigio)
  • 1 cup of red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • tsp fine, minced garlic

Directions

  • Combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, white wine, and red wine vinegar in a large bowl.
  • Slowly add the sugar so that it dissolves evenly.
  • Add the garlic last.

Notes

For the best flavor, I recommend using fresh garlic and regular soy sauce (not the low sodium). If you are marinating a steak, I'd let it set in the marinade for at least 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.
